We Have a New Home: Introducing Travel for Pinoys 🌏

Something exciting has been in the works β€” and today it's finally real.

heyianc.net is now travelforpinoys.com. If you've been following along since the early days, first β€” salamat! 🫢🏻 This community is the reason this rebrand exists in the first place.

Why the Change?

When I started this blog, it was personal. My name, my trips, my notes. But over time, something shifted. The messages I kept getting weren't just "nice content, Ian" β€” they were "this helped me plan my first solo trip," and "my family used your itinerary and it was perfect."

It stopped being about me a long time ago. It was always about you β€” the Filipino traveler trying to figure out how to make the most of a hard-earned vacation without overspending, getting lost, or missing the best parts.

Travel for Pinoys reflects that more honestly. It's not just a rebrand β€” it's a clearer mission: to help Filipino travelers plan their trips with confidence.

This Was Always Community-Driven

Here's the thing people might not realize: Travel for Pinoys didn't start as a blog but as a community.

The Facebook Groups came first β€” spaces where Filipino travelers could ask real questions, share actual experiences, and help each other plan trips without needing to be an expert. Those communities grew into something genuinely useful, and everything on this blog has been shaped by the questions, stories, and feedback that came out of them.

Those groups are still very much alive β€” and still the best place to get real, firsthand answers from fellow Filipino travelers who've actually been there:

And this doesn't stop here. More destination communities are coming as the network grows.

If you haven't joined yet β€” please join. These groups are where the real travel planning happens, where members share the tips that don't make it into any guide, and where the community genuinely looks out for each other.

What's Changing

You can now find everything at travelforpinoys.com β€” all the guides, hotel recommendations, transport breakdowns, promo codes, and itineraries are right where you left them. If you go to heyianc.net, it automatically redirects you so nothing gets lost.

On social media, find us at @travelforpinoys on Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and Facebook. Same content, same voice, new home.

What's Not Changing

Me. I'll still be personally writing and creating most of the content β€” the guides, the breakdowns, the hotel reviews. Everything that goes out under Travel for Pinoys gets my eyes on it before it does. That's not going to change. And of course, I won't stop making the travel content that you love.

The standard I've held myself to since day one β€” only recommending hotels I've actually stayed in, only writing routes I've actually taken, only sharing deals I actually use β€” stays exactly the same.

And the whole point of everything I make stays the same too: Ganito lang 'yan. Easy to understand, practical, and built for every Filipino traveler β€” not just the ones with big budgets or years of travel experience. If I can't explain something clearly enough that someone planning their very first trip abroad can follow it, it doesn't go out.

What's Coming

More full destination guides built around how Filipinos actually travel β€” visa-free windows, budget breakdowns in pesos, airport arrival walkthroughs, and day-by-day itineraries that account for real flight schedules and real hotel options.

More templates β€” the kind that save you hours of planning, not just inspiration you have to figure out on your own.

More travel deals β€” promo codes, booking hacks, and platform-specific tips that stretch your travel budget further than you thought possible.

And more communities β€” because the more destinations we cover together, the more Filipinos we can help get out there and actually go.

The goal hasn't changed. Deserve mo yang bakasyon β€” and I'm here to help you plan it properly.

See you at travelforpinoys.com. πŸ™

Hope this helps! More travels soon!
